How can I change a 3 switch outlet to a 4?

How can I change a 3 switch outlet to a 4? The switch plate is by the front entry and I want to wire in a line to take outside--underground, to an electric eye and some brick lights I am building into brick columns.

Though the electric eye will automatically turn the four lights on and off, I want to be able to turn the system off, in case I need to work on it, or want to leave the house for extended periods.

Is it as easy as going to Home Depot, getting a 4 switch box and plate and adding the extra wiring? Is it easy to know which wires to %26quot;daisey chain%26quot; over to the fourth switch?

Can someone link to be a diagram?

Thank you!How can I change a 3 switch outlet to a 4?if you have the clearance for a (four gang box ) then yes its just as you say .... if you dont have the clearance try useing a stack switch in which you dont need to change the box ....youll need to get a hot to the switch and a switch leg from the switch to the sensor switch and a neutral from the sensor tied to other neutrals in the box, tie all grounds together.....thats all .....you said you know how to hook the lightsto the sensor so there you have it .....good going....How can I change a 3 switch outlet to a 4?Just add wires like the ones there. While at Home Depot, ask for a wiring diagram and also one may be in the box.How can I change a 3 switch outlet to a 4?You are on the right track, in the box look to see which colored wires are tide together check them for voltage they should be your hots jumper them to your new switch. Remember you will need a neutral for the circuit to operate that will be the white conductor splice your new white to these. Your ground will also have to be connected. The box it self If it is plastic you will have to change it,(maybe) if made of metal take a closer look it may be a gang-able box or not. There is a way without changing the box if you can fish the wires to the box that is there now buy yourself a stack switch.
