How can i convert a 110v light to 240v light?

got a light as a gift i really like from a friend but it is a 110v. would like to know if i can use it in Singapore and if not, how can i convert it to 240v? do i just change the bulb? it is basically a plug-%26gt;cable-%26gt;switch-%26gt;lightbulb holder-%26gt;bulb so wondering if i change the bulb it will be ok?How can i convert a 110v light to 240v light? You can change the bulb and it will probably work.... just be careful of the switch and bulb holder/socket. Most of these are rated for a particular voltage. If it is not rated for 240 then replace it with the proper switch and/or bulb holder and it should be fine. You may also want to check the voltage rating on the wire, some manufacturers use the cheapest wire available and it does not have the insulation to handle the higher voltage safely. It might be hard to find the info on the wire, as some of the wires do not have any identifying marks when installed in a item like this. Good luck and hope this helps. How can i convert a 110v light to 240v light? You need a voltage converter. Try this link:
