The house we recently purchased has a lot of dimmer switches around and we wanted to convert them back to regular light switches but Im not sure how. I tried to do one on my own but got confused with the wiring. any help would be greatly appreciated!

The ground is usually bare wire and screws to the bottom of the light switch, the other two can only be installed two ways, right or wrong and youll know its wrong when you turn the breaker back on and it kicks out on you . Reverse the hot and neutral and try it again. Or if you must, buy an inexpensive tester from you home superstore for about $10. TOuch it on the hot lead and it will beep and identify a hot lead. Now proceed to install the hot wire in hot hole on the light switch labled +
